An exquisite hand-painted vase with gold-gilded twin handles. The vase was produced by the Nippon in Noritake, Japan. It was produced in the 1920s. The porcelain vase bears beautifully rendered landscape images, with a stream, trees and hills. The landscape scene is surrounded by Cloisonné Enamel and gold decorations, raised gold dots on the neck of the vase and on the bottom. It is marked (slightly faded), brought to US by a traveling family long time ago.
The vase is 8” tall and 5” wide at the handles. Impressive size. Hard to find. Great condition - no nicks or chips. It has some discoloration spots on the back side (see pictures) which do not distract from the beauty of the vase. Age related wear to the gilding of the handles, and the top edge.
